Eric Peters, Donovan & Watkins Division President
With over 20 years of experience, Eric has worked in many staffing verticals, including permanent placement, temporary staffing and project consulting. Eric spent 11 years at Robert Half International (RHI) where he held various roles, including Branch Manager, Regional Vice President of Management Resources and Vice President Salaries Professional Services.
Along with launching various staffing verticals for RHI, Eric was instrumental in integrating Protiviti, the former Arthur Anderson Risk Consulting Practice which RHI acquired.
Moving into the healthcare field, Eric joined Weatherby Healthcare (a CHG company) where he held the position of Director and took responsibility for the growth and profitability of Weatherby’s physician placement in the locums tenens space. For the last three years, Eric oversaw North and South America for Faststream Recruitment Inc., the world’s largest Maritime and Marine staffing firm.
Kim joined Donovan & Watkins in 2007 and is currently our practice manager. As a producing manager, Kim manages our recruiters and focuses on recruiting senior level contract and direct hire accounting & finance professionals and attorneys. She was recruited to DW to develop the company’s attorney placement division and catapulted Donovan & Watkins into the attorney recruiting space with contract and direct-hire attorney placements into Fortune 10 – 500 corporations.
She built our e-Discovery recruiting program in essentially Greenfield space, including recruiting and fulfillment for the largest eDiscovery and claims review project in history. She has placed attorneys and accounting/finance professionals in corporations and law firms in Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Chicago and New York. Prior to Donovan & Watkins, Kim was with a national legal staffing firm for six years as the director of paralegal & JD placement. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and a native Houstonian.
Troy serves as the managing director for our Plano, Texas office. With over 20 years of experience and a degree in business management, Troy is skilled in many aspects of staffing, specializing in permanent placement, temporary services, project consulting and ERP implementations across various industries, as well as fields including accounting, finance and IT. He has worked for several top agencies, including serving as a division director for Robert Half Management Resources.
Troy joined Donovan & Watkins in June 2016 as the talent acquisition manager for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Being one of the first hired on to this new venture, Troy was a pivotal asset in opening the Donovan & Watkins office in Plano to retain and expand Donovan & Watkins services in North Texas.
Troy puts an emphasis on team based success for clients and colleagues alike, demonstration strong leadership skills, and creating a positive work environment for those around him.
Joy joined Donovan & Watkins in the capacity of business development manager, specializing in accounting & finance and information technology projects and placements. She graduated with a degree in accounting and finance and has over ten years of accounting experience in the consulting industry. Her knowledge base includes full accounting cycle, ERP implementation (SAP), leading the transition of accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and general ledger to an offshore shared services center, process improvements and client financial management. She understands the world of accounting and finance and leverages her experience to match the right candidate or consultant to the right opportunity.
Sofia joined Donovan & Watkins in the expansion effort launching the Plano operations. She comes to the firm with over 20 years of accounting, consulting and staffing experience. Sofia grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with her BBA in accounting. She spent 10 years in the accounting profession as an auditor and then transitioned to M&A and finance. In 2005, she decided to transition into the staffing and consulting industry, assisting clients with various projects and initiatives to assist their growth. She is customer service focused and believes in building strong partnerships with clients, candidates, and peers. She enjoys volunteering with organizations that promote and inspire girls. She currently volunteers at the Hockaday School and the D’Feeters Soccer Club in Dallas.
Cassondra is a veteran recruiter with more than 10 years’ experience in the areas of professional services, administrative/clerical, it, Telecommunications and Legal – the majority of which was obtained at Donovan & Watkins. She has been on an exciting and fruitful ride with Donovan & Watkins – from the original ownership of the two sisters who founded the company, to the growth and success accomplished through the BG Staffing acquisition! Having started her recruiting career from reception in an IT staffing firm to her current role as senior ecruiter, she has achieved tremendous success through her most challenging, yet rewarding, times with Donovan & Watkins. That commitment and dedication has led to two Presidential Award trips since its recent implementation. Cassondra truly appreciates her tenure and experience with Donovan & Watkins, and looks forward to contributing to the continued success in the greater Houston market.
Irene is a senior recruiter with Donovan & Watkins who has been with the company since April 2013. She is focused on helping our clients identify and hire accounting/finance, administrative/clerical, paralegal talent and project management professionals on a contract and direct hire basis. Prior to joining the company, Irene was a producing manager of an international jewelry store for 10 years and she led another startup diamond jewelry store in profitability of million dollars its first year of operation. Irene is a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a bachelor’s and double major in mass media and fine art. She has lived in Houston for the past 37 years. Cassandra joined DonWat in Houston as a business development manager with over ten years of experience in the staffing and recruiting industry. Cassandra was awarded the Houston Association of Personnel Consultants Top Ten Consultants award. Through her volunteer efforts with membership retention for the Greater Houston Partnership, Cassandra was recognized as a Top Ambassador, Top Team Member and Life Time Member.
Elaine is a senior business development manager & senior recruiter with Donovan and Watkins, having joined the firm in 2006. With more than 15 years in recruiting and business development, Elaine specializes in the areas of accounting, finance, HR and legal recruiting. Elaine has successfully built a network of notable clients and candidates and continues to meet personal and company goals – achieving President’s Club Award status each year. She has worked with individuals and industry leaders within the financial services, manufacturing, insurance, oil and gas, non-profit and many other service-related industries. Prior to her success in the employment industry, Elaine previously held the position of regional director/vice president of money mailer marketing where she established and directed the marketing and sales of a direct mail and internet marketing service company. She was responsible for all start up operations for the southeast Texas region, including direct sales, marketing and administration of all sales activities. Elaine was consistently ranked in the top 10% in sales as part of a national team of over 400 franchisees. Elaine is an active member in many charitable and professional organizations and is an alumna of the University of Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner!
Elissa is a senior recruiter with five years of experience in the staffing industry. she began her staffing career as a business development manager and then transitioned into a Senior Recruiter with Donovan & Watkins in 2013. Understanding both sides of the process has made Elissa successful in identifying the needs of our clients. She has been acknowledged for her ability to recruit all levels of accounting and finance positions from entry level to executive level. Elissa takes pride in nurturing her client relationships with a consultative approach that helps bridge the gap. Prior to joining this industry, Elissa served 11 years in retail, one including the luxury jeweler, Tiffany & Company. She was a successful sales professional and retail manager. Elissa is a native Texan from the Rio Grande Valley, who spent a few years in Miami, Florida. She completed her undergrad at Texas A&M University in 2000 and leverages her Aggie network by serving on the board of the Houston Aggie Women society. She has recently become a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s and continues to get involved in the Houston community.
Julie is an experienced talent acquisition and recruiting professional with 15 plus years in both executive search and corporate environments. She began her career in advertising sales and later joined Robert Half International where she managed permanent search for the accounting and finance division for nearly ten years. She later transitioned into corporate where she has been focused on developing and executing talent acquisition strategy. Julie joined Donovan & Watkins in 2016 with the company’s expansion efforts into the DFW market. Julie is a graduate of The University of North Texas and lives in Plano.
Ali is a senior recruiter with five years of experience in accounting and finance recruiting. She started her career as an elementary school teacher in 2009 and made the move to the Staffing Industry with Donovan & Watkins in 2012. Since the beginning of her recruiting career, Ali has specialized in direct hire and project services recruiting for all levels of accounting and finance. She thoroughly enjoys building relationships with her candidates to become a trusted resource throughout their career. Ali is committed to delivering qualified and vetted candidates who add value to the clients we partner with. Ali is a native Texan who graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her masters degree from Houston Baptist University.
