NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Zycron was named in Black Enterprise Magazine’s BE 100s, an annual list of the nation’s largest black businesses. Zycron Founder and Executive Chairman Darrell S. Freeman is featured online at blackenterprise.com and the company appears in the June print edition of the magazine.
Zycron, one of only four Tennessee-based businesses to appear in the 2010 BE 100s, was ranked #86 among industrial/service companies. Other entities that appeared in the industrial/service category include: Oprah Winfrey’s multimedia powerhouse Harpo, Inc., Linda Johnson Rice’s Johnson Publishing Co. Inc., and Bernard Bronner’s Bronner Brothers, Inc.
“As Zycron celebrates its 20-year anniversary, we are truly honored to be recognized among elite organizations around the country,” Freeman said.
The BE 100s also lists the largest black-owned businesses in advertising, auto dealers, and financial services companies in America, as reported by Black Enterprise Magazine, a national publication that since 1970 has been considered the premier business, investing, and wealth-building resource for African Americans.
The current BE 100s were selected based on 2010 revenues. Zycron, along with 19 other businesses, entered the 2010 freshmen class of new comers to this prestigious list.
