PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Zycron was awarded a five-year contract with Port Authority of Allegheny County for information technology consulting services. The multi-year agreement, which began in October 2010, also includes IT temporary support services.

“We are pleased to develop a new partnership with the Port Authority,” Zycron President and CEO Steven Howard Smith said. “We look forward to the opportunity to provide services that benefit citizens of Pennsylvania.”

Port Authority of Allegheny County provides public transportation services throughout a 775 square-mile area that includes Pittsburgh and its suburbs throughout Allegheny County. The Authority’s 2,700 employees operate, maintain and support bus, light rail, incline and paratransit services each day to about 220,000 riders.

Zycron-Pittsburgh opened in January and is managed by Marjorie Spegar, who has 15 years experience in IT account management in the Pittsburgh area. Pittsburgh is Zycron’s fifth domestic location, with three offices in Tennessee and one in Dallas, Texas.

Zycron’s client footprint in local and state government also includes: the State of Tennessee, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, and the City of Memphis, all in Tennessee.
