NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Zycron today announced it has partnered with CIBER, Inc., to win a 5-year contract renewal at Nashville Electric Service for on-site information technology services. The multi-year agreement, which begins October 16, 2010, includes both IT applications and infrastructure support.
Since 2004, Zycron and CIBER have partnered to provide IT services to NES, one of the 12 largest public electric utilities in the nation, distributing energy to more than 357,000 customers in Middle Tennessee.
Zycron supports the contract that manages all of NES’s onsite IT services, including applications development and maintenance, database administration, security administration, PC support, network support and help desk services.
“Zycron is honored to continue our long-standing relationship with Nashville Electric Service,” Zycron President and CEO Steven Howard Smith said. “NES has allowed us the opportunity to provide services that benefit citizens of Middle Tennessee, and this experience adds to Zycron’s profile in the public utilities space.”
Zycron’s client footprint in the energy and utilities industry spans Tennessee including Memphis Light Gas and Water, the largest three-service public utility in the nation, and Tennessee Valley Authority, the nation’s largest public power company.
