NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Zycron today announced a contract win with the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). Effective September 1, Zycron will facilitate the procurement of IT supplemental staffing services for Texas.

DIR is responsible for the effective planning, implementation, and management of a statewide technology infrastructure that supports agency business operations. DIR is also responsible for a cooperative contracts program that enables government entities to efficiently pool their purchasing power to drive down costs. The program provides an effective procurement channel to thousands of public sector entities across Texas.

Other responsibilities and key functions of DIR include the adoption of statewide technology rules and standards, and the development of guidelines and practices that contribute to effective enterprise management of information and communications technology.

Zycron has had operations in Dallas, TX, since 2005, and recently expanded its state and local government portfolio with two contract wins in 2008 with major municipalities, the City of Memphis and the State of Tennessee.
