Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has partnered with Nashville’s Zycron Inc. for a $156 million contract with the state of Tennessee.
The five-year contract is with the Tennessee Bureau of TennCare for the TennCare Management Information System.
Dallas-based ACS (NYSE: ACS) provides state health care program administration and supports Medicaid programs in 12 states and the District of Columbia in addition to the Tennessee contract.
The contract calls for ACS to assume responsibility for the current TennCare Management Information System used by the state for the management of its Medicaid program. In addition to the takeover, ACS will be responsible for data management, as well as ongoing systems modifications and day-to-day operations.
Zycron is a minority-owned information technology staffing and outsourcing company.
“Zycron is excited to partner with ACS in supporting the State in meeting TennCare objectives,” says Zycron CEO Darrell Freeman. “Zycron’s strong presence in the IT industry coupled with ACS’s international profile is the ideal solution for the State of Tennessee.”
